MR Safety First!

Annual MRI Safety Course - MR Safety First - 2 days

In 2024, the MRI safety courses will be delivered in the classroom and will also be available for delegates to log in remtotely.

The subject of MRI safety continues to grow apace, with technical advances of the equipment and more and more passive and active implants appearing on the market. Eden Learning’s MR Safety First course has grown to meet the needs of healthcare professionals working in MRI.

This comprehensive course now spans two days covering all aspects of MR safety: biological effects arising from the newest technology, dealing with passive and active implants, implications from recent gadolinium contrast agents research, the requirements of national and international standards, and conducting MR risk assessments.

Interactive sessions will explore roles and responsibilities in MR safety, MR suite design, and how to develop an MR safety framework. A parallel MR physics boot camp will address the scientific knowledge required towards becoming an MR Safety Expert.

Delivered by many recognised experts in the field, the course is aimed at radiographers, radiologists, physicists and researchers with an interest in MR safety.
